 Ana MatronicReal Name: Ana Lynch Vocals, Co-Writer. Has collaborated with New Order, and is in a group called 'I Love You' with her husband Seth. The group provided a remix of the bands hit track 'Filthy/Gorgeous'. Born in: Portland, Oregan, USA Date of birth: 14 August 1974 Star sign: Leo Ana Matronic is the female lead singer of the Scissor Sisters. She was born Ana Lynch on 14th August 1974 in Portland, Oregan, USA, and has rocked and rolled with the highs and lows ever since. She is said to have gotten her stage name due to here "deep and abiding love of robots" She has a two tattoos that we know of. A large tattoo on her right shoulder of bionic circuitry and a small tattoo on her ankle. Her tattoo on her arm of bionic circuitry is inspired by the Bionic Woman. She has it because she loves all things robotic, hence her name as mentioned before. It has been added to over 7 years, with about 13 hours in the chair at Minds Eye Tattoo in Seattle. The second tattoo on her ankle; a celtic knot, is to mark her Irish heritage. Beforing to moving to New York, where she meet the first members of the band, Ana lived in San Francisco, California, where she performed at the local, and now famous drag club Trannyshack, where she reached the finals of the Miss Trannyshack pageant. It was her experience at Trannyshack that inspired her to start her own club night Knockoff, intended as a "knockoff" version of Trannyshack. She joined Scissor Sisters, founded by Jake Shears and Babydaddy, after they played their first live gig at a cabaret night in Knockoff which she was hosting at 'The Slipper Room' on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. She has stated that in her eyes, the objective of the band is "about people displaying their fantasies on the outside, trying to break out of the everyday, and look like their dreams." Her favorite bands are 'Siouxsie Sioux', 'Blondie' and the 'Banshees'. Her favorite film is 'Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls', which she has forcefully made the whole band watch. On stage, she gives it like no other, and her wide-ranging freestyle banter between songs has elevated her to the level of folk-hero. She is fast becoming a role model and spokesperson for relatively voiceless sections of society due to her natural affinity with all people, regardless of circumstance or status.
